Why everyone needs friends?

Over the course of my life, I've had friends but never close friends. I'm outgoing and very sociable. What do you think is the problem with me? Do I need to change my outlook on friendships. And i never had a girlfriend. Almost 22 years of age , kind of sad. What do I need to get my social and romantic life rolling and headed in the right direction ?

my friend is 15 and weighs 100 pounds. shes 5'5" and she really really wants to gain weight. ive told her that shes fine and she will gain weight wen shes older but she wants to gain weight now and shes really sick of being so small.. i told her its better then being obese but she still wants to gain some weight. she eats alot. and she plays soccor! and she doesnt now why she cant gain weight. ive told her its proly bc she hs a fast mutabilisum but she still wantss to gain weight bus she doesnt now how. does anyone have any ideas on how she can gain like 20 poundssss? i want to help herr):
