Am I a hopeless romantic?

First off, I'm not socially awkward, I love conversation and I'm very outgoing. It's just that when guys ask me out, I usually say no, no matter how much I care for the guy. I'm 16 and never had a boyfriend, but could easily have one if I lowered my standards... I feel like such an a**, but that's just how I feel. Theres only been one guy who I wanted to date, but he was older, so it would've caused problems in the long run. My friends tell me to lower my standards, but I just can't. Haha, I feel horrible, but I can't help it. Am I a hopeless romantic?
